Deeply mourn the passing of Professor Agostino Bruzzone

We, at the Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM), are deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden passing of Prof. Agostino Bruzzone, the leader of the Simulation Team and the President of the Federation of European Simulation Societies (EUROSIM). This unexpected news has cast a profound shadow of grief over us all.

Prof. Agostino Bruzzone was a highly respected figure in the field of simulation. His outstanding contributions to the academic research and development of simulation technologies have left an indelible mark. Under his leadership, the Simulation Team and EUROSIM have achieved remarkable progress and actively promoted international cooperation in the simulation field.

Over the years, the ASIASIM has had close and fruitful cooperation with the Simulation Team and EUROSIM. Prof. Agostino Bruzzone played a crucial role in facilitating this cooperation. His vision, wisdom, and dedication have significantly strengthened the ties between us and jointly advanced the development of the global simulation community. His departure is not only a great loss to the Simulation Team and EUROSIM, but also to the entire international simulation field.

On behalf of the ASIASIM, we would like to extend our most sincere and deepest condolences to Prof. Agostino Bruzzone's family, friends, and all colleagues of the Simulation Team and EUROSIM. We understand that no words can fully ease the pain of this loss, but we hope that you can find some comfort in the knowledge that his contributions will always be remembered and his spirit will continue to inspire us all.

On a personal note, I shared a deep and cherished friendship with Prof. Agostino Bruzzone. It is hard to accept that such a passionate and visionary colleague, who always brought warmth and wisdom to every interaction, is no longer with us.

Looking ahead, I sincerely hope that we will continue to strengthen our cooperation, carry forward the cause he was so committed to, and complete the unfinished work he left behind. This will be the best way to honor his memory and console his soul in heaven.
