Beihang University (BUAA), founded in 1952, is the first institution of higher education in aeronautics and astro-nautics established after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. The university is currently under theadministration of the Ministry of industry and lnformation Technology. lt has Xueyuan Road campus and Shahecampus in Beijing, as well as the lnternational Campus in Hangzhou newly opened in 2023. The total area of the threecampuses reaches approximately 4,000 mu. Over the seventy years, BUAA has established itself as a prestigiousresearch university with global reputation.
