Tianmushan Laboratory (referred to as "the laboratory") is a Zhejiang Provincial Laboratory focusing on aviation, officially approved by the government. The laboratory relies on the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute of Beihang University (referred to as "B3I") and Beihang University. It was officially established in Yuhang District, Hangzhou in June 2022. The laboratory is in "synchronized planning, construction, and investment" with the B3I.

Tianmushan Laboratory focuses on two main directions of advanced aviation technology and high-performance aviation materials, involving the Green Civil Aircraft Intelligent  Design Center, Green Civil Aviation Engine Integrated Design Center, High-performance Materials and Advanced Manufacturing Center, and  Intelligent Flight Management and Airborne Energy Integrated Center. It aims to cultivate and gather top talent in aviation, explore new principles and technologies, and strive to achieve original innovation from "0 to 1" and enhance innovation capabilities. The laboratory actively undertakes  national projects and technological challenges in aviation, aiming to overcome critical bottleneck technologies and produce a series of landmark, leading-edge original scientific research achievements.

The laboratory aims to establish a high-level platform with significant impacts, create a source of original innovation, and form a strategic force for technological innovation in aviation. The laboratory supports Zhejiang Province's aerospace fundamental research to make breakthroughs and achievements.
