The China Simulation Federation (CSF) is a national-level first-tier society under the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). It was established on February 12, 1989, and is composed of experts, scholars, science and technology workers, and group units engaged in simulation disciplines nationwide.

The purpose of the CSF is to unite and organize a large number of simulation science and technology workers, with a focus on economic construction. Its goals include promoting the prosperity and development of science and technology, popularizing and promoting science and technology, facilitating domestic and international academic exchanges, serving its members and science and technology workers, promoting the development of simulation science and technology in China, and contributing to the national economic construction and modernization of defense.

Currently, the CSF has over 30,000 individual members and 145 unit members, with 47 branch organizations (43 professional committees and 4 working committees). The federation publishes one domestic journal and one foreign journal. In recent years, it has hosted or co-hosted more than 20 domestic and international academic conferences. The "China Simulation Conference" is the federation's most important academic exchange brand and is held annually. This conference brings together well-known experts and science and technology workers in the simulation and related fields in China, and has become the highest academic event in China in these fields. In 2016, the federation established the China Simulation Society Science and Technology Award to recognize outstanding achievements in the fields of simulation science, technology, or engineering. This award is given to those who have made important discoveries, inventions, or original innovations and have achieved significant influence in related fields.

The China Simulation Federation has strong connections with simulation societies in Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. It is also one of the host countries for the "Asian Simulation Conference".
